Cricket is a bat and ball game played between 2 teams of 11 players on a field at the centre of which is a 22 yard pitch with a wicket at each end comprising of 3 stumps on which 2 bails are balanced. The origin of cricket was in England and the first ever match was played in south-east England in the middle of the 16th century. The game’s governing body is the International Cricket Council (ICC) which has over 100 members. There are various formats in cricket. The twenty 20 format played over few hours,the ODIs or the 50 over format with each batting for a single innings of 50 overs and the Test format played overs 5 days. The governing body of cricket in India is Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Cricket an absolute entertaining game and has millions of fans across the globe.
SUPER VILLAINS – The “wicked” genre
Supervillains are the ultimate bad guys in comic stories. The first ever supervillain was Fang Gow. Now supervillain has become a genre in itself. The supervillain has a fan following like the superhero himself(sometimes even more). The evolution of supervillains has been phenomenal. From joker to thanos , from Harley Quinn to enchantress all have powers of their own. All are pretty badass on their own.
Some sites describe supervillains to be evil doers, but in some cases the supervillain turns out to be an inspiration. In the modern age and day there are movies on supervillains themselves like the joker, birds of prey and suicide squad. Without these characters the story would look and sound incomplete. Their influence on people’s mind is notable. They provide a new dimension or perception to the story with their back stories. All in all they are some of the better characters in comic books and manage to keep the reader intrigued
CORONA – The infectious pandemic
The new coronavirus is officially called SARS-CoV-2, which stands for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. An infection with this virus can lead to Coronavirus disease or COVID-19. This virus is dangerous and different from other viruses and can also spread easily causing life threatening illness in people. Some people have only mild to moderate symptoms, while others have severe symptoms.
This pandemic has become a global issue taking away thousands of lives away across the globe. COVID-19 originated in China and now is spread across the globe. Even in India this virus is spreading rapidly and is looking more dangerous as it is the verge of getting into the third stage (community spread). This is a serious issue and people must not take this lightly and must follow social distancing and must report immediately if they have any symptoms.
